ALZHEIMER’S SOCIETY CARERS GROUP 
Offers support to carers, particularly those caring for someone with Alzheimer’s. Tel: 01284 766433

CARE BREAKS
If you provide substantial and regular care for a relative, partner or friend who is under 65 and has a long term physical and/or sensory disability, you can apply to this fund to a take a break. The fund will pay for care for the person with a disability.

CROSSROADS
Can arrange for trained care assistants to come and look after a person who is frail, ill or disabled within their own home, for a few hours, daytime or evening. This enables the carer to have some time off for necessary shopping, appointments,  social or leisure activities. Contact the local managers as follows:

RURAL EAST SUFFOLK CARERS ACTION NETWORK
An independent Carer support group run by local Carers for local Carers. If you are a Carer in East Suffolk, then you're welcome to join us for an informal coffee session, where we exchange one-to-one emotional support, information and advice on such topics as respite, benefits, transport and local services for those being cared for. SUFFOLK FAMILY CARERS
An independent organisation who act as a focal point for Family Carers throughout Suffolk to provide support and information on a variety of issues relating to their caring role. Services include:

    Information & support for Family Carers. Mon-Fri 9am-4pm. Out of hours answerphone.
      
  • Family Carer Support Workers 
    Information, advocacy and support for Family Carers through individual and group support. Please ring Helpline for more information.
       
  • Flexible Respite Project 
    Information about flexible respite for Family Carers of people over 65.
